Skin Scrub Marine Algae Extracts is a professional face and body exfoliant developed to remove dead surface cells while replenishing the skin with nutrient-rich marine botanicals. Formulated with Laminaria Digitata (brown seaweed), lactic acid, and vitamin E, this revitalizing scrub helps improve skin texture, softness, and overall radiance while preparing the skin for enhanced absorption of professional serums, moisturizers, and treatment products. Suitable for most skin types, it supports smoother, healthier-looking skin on both the face and body without excessive abrasion.
Crafted with Premium Marine Algae Sourced from France
Skin Scrub Marine Algae Extracts is formulated with Laminaria Digitata harvested from the coastal waters of France, a region internationally recognized for producing some of the highest-quality marine algae used in professional skincare. French seaweed is valued for its purity and naturally high concentration of minerals, trace elements, and skin-supporting nutrients. By selecting premium marine botanicals from this renowned source, Skin for Life delivers an exfoliating treatment that combines effective resurfacing with nutrient-rich skin conditioning, providing licensed skincare professionals with exceptional ingredient quality and consistent treatment performance.
In addition to premium French marine algae, Skin Scrub contains diatomaceous earth, a naturally occurring mineral. This gentle polishing ingredient helps lift away dull, dead skin cells while refining the skin’s surface without excessive abrasion. By creating a smoother, more uniform complexion, Skin Scrub enhances the absorption and performance of hydrating serums and moisturizers applied after exfoliation. Combined with nutrient-rich Laminaria Digitata sourced from France, the formula delivers professional exfoliation while supporting softer, healthier-looking skin with improved clarity and radiance.
Laminaria Digitata is a brown marine algae valued for its naturally occurring minerals, trace elements, vitamins, and antioxidants. It contains iodine, calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, B-complex vitamins, and vitamin C, which help nourish the skin while supporting a healthier-looking complexion. In professional exfoliation treatments, Laminaria Digitata helps replenish the skin with essential nutrients after surface dead skin cells have been removed.
Because Laminaria Digitata naturally contains iodine, clients with a known iodine allergy, sensitivity to iodinated contrast media as determined by their physician, or those who have been specifically instructed by their healthcare provider to avoid iodine-containing products should not receive this treatment. While a shellfish allergy itself is not caused by iodine, clients who report severe reactions or have concerns should be evaluated carefully and, when appropriate, advised to consult their healthcare provider before treatment. A thorough health history and consultation should always be completed before any professional skincare service.
Professional Tip: When in doubt, choose an alternative exfoliating treatment that does not contain marine algae.
Dead skin cells naturally accumulate on the surface of the skin and can reduce the effectiveness of topical skincare products. Gentle exfoliation removes this buildup, allowing professional serums, masks, moisturizers, and treatment products to contact the skin more effectively. This helps maximize the performance of active ingredients while leaving the skin smoother, brighter, and better prepared for corrective treatments.
Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring mineral. It provides gentle mechanical exfoliation by polishing away surface dead skin cells without aggressive abrasion. This refined exfoliation helps improve skin texture while preparing the skin to better absorb hydrating and corrective skincare products applied after treatment.
For most skin types, facial exfoliation is recommended every 10 to 14 days, allowing the skin to complete its normal renewal cycle. The body, which generally has a thicker stratum corneum, may be exfoliated 2 to 3 times per week, depending on skin condition and sensitivity. Licensed skincare professionals should always customize exfoliation frequency based on the client’s skin type, condition, treatment goals, and overall barrier health.

Ingredient & Sensitivity Information
Please consult with clients regarding any known ingredient sensitivities, allergies, or adverse reactions before use. The ingredient list is provided for professional awareness to support informed product selection and encourage appropriate due diligence based on each client’s individual needs and sensitivities.
After cleansing and toning, dispense 5–7 mL of Skin Scrub Marine Algae Extracts into a glass or stainless steel bowl. Using a facial mask brush, apply an even layer over the face, neck, and décolleté, avoiding the eye area.
Allow the product to absorb briefly while performing light effleurage massage movements to distribute the marine algae extracts evenly across the skin. Once the product has partially absorbed, lightly moisten your fingertips with water and reactivate the Skin Scrub into a smooth, milky emulsion. Continue massaging the skin for 1–3 minutes using gentle circular movements.
For enhanced softening and exfoliation, steam may be applied for up to 5 minutes, positioning the steamer approximately 10–12 inches (25–30 cm) from the client’s face.
For a more advanced exfoliation protocol, a skin scrubber (ultrasonic spatula) may be used to gently lift and remove the exfoliating cream from the skin, helping loosen remaining keratinized cells and surface debris.
Remove all residue with a towel moistened in room-temperature water. Finish by applying Skin for Life Instant Soothing Toner to rebalance the skin before proceeding with serums, masks, moisturizers, or other professional treatment steps.
Professional Tip: The Skin Scrub may also be incorporated into facial, neck, and body treatments to prepare the skin for improved penetration of corrective and hydrating treatment products.
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs flush the area immediately with water and discontinue use. If irritation persists see your physician immediately.
Keep out of reach of children.
