SKU: DERM-10R-KIT
Category: Dermaplaning Supplies
The DERM-10R Professional & Student Dermaplaning Kit provides the essential tools and supplies needed for professional treatments, hands-on education, and dermaplaning technique development. Designed for licensed estheticians, skincare professionals, esthetics students, and professionals completing dermaplaning training, the kit combines 100 Swann-Morton #10R sterile blades with the fundamental tools needed to practice and perform controlled dermaplaning.
The #10R is one of the most widely used blade profiles in professional dermaplaning. Commonly referred to as the “Butter Blade,” its rounded profile provides a smooth, controlled working edge that follows facial contours easily. This makes the #10R valuable for experienced practitioners while also providing students with an excellent blade for developing blade handling, positioning, skin tension, and controlled exfoliation techniques.
For students, learning dermaplaning requires repetition. Understanding blade angle, pressure, skin tension, stroke length, treatment direction, contraindications, and skin analysis comes from combining professional instruction with supervised hands-on practice. With 100 individually packaged #10R blades, the DERM-10R Kit provides students with supplies they can continue using as their technique develops.
For working estheticians, the same kit provides a practical professional setup for adding or maintaining dermaplaning as a treatment service. The stainless steel #3 handle, sterile single-use blades, blade remover, nourishing oil, and organizational wristlet keep the primary treatment components together and ready for use.
Clients frequently associate dermaplaning with removing facial “peach fuzz,” but vellus hair removal is only one part of the treatment. Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliation technique used to remove accumulated surface keratin and vellus hair from the stratum corneum.
When performed on an appropriately selected client, dermaplaning can leave the skin looking smoother, brighter, and more refined with minimal downtime. Removing excess surface buildup also creates a smoother surface for the application of appropriate professional and home-care skincare products.
Understanding this distinction is particularly important for students. The objective is not simply to remove hair—it is to learn how to evaluate the skin and perform controlled, intentional exfoliation.
Confidence in dermaplaning develops through education, repetition, and consistent technique. With 100 #10R blades, students have the opportunity to practice blade positioning, skin tension, controlled strokes, and treatment flow while developing greater familiarity with the procedure.
The rounded profile of the #10R Butter Blade provides smooth maneuverability across many facial contours. For students, it is an excellent blade for developing fundamental dermaplaning skills. For professionals, it remains a versatile blade for everyday treatment applications.
Training with the same type of blade, stainless steel handle, and supporting supplies used in a professional treatment environment helps students become comfortable with the complete dermaplaning setup. Repeated use can help blade handling become more controlled, deliberate, and efficient.
The DERM-10R Kit is not limited to the learning stage. Students can begin with supervised practice and continue using the same professional-quality supplies as their education, confidence, and proficiency develop. Established estheticians can use the kit as a complete addition to their treatment-room supplies.
The kit includes 100 sterile #10R blades, a stainless steel #3 handle, enclosed blade remover, nourishing oil, and Skin for Life wristlet. Keeping the essential components together allows students to concentrate on learning technique and gives professionals an organized setup for performing dermaplaning services.
Professional & Student Takeaway: Confidence does not come from simply owning a dermaplaning blade—it develops through proper education, repeated practice, skin analysis, and controlled technique. The DERM-10R Kit provides the professional tools needed to support that progression from learning the fundamentals to performing dermaplaning with greater proficiency.

The DERM-10R Kit provides the tools, but professional education provides the technique.
Students and professionals new to dermaplaning should complete appropriate hands-on education before independently performing the procedure on clients. Proper training teaches the practitioner how to evaluate the skin, recognize contraindications, establish skin tension, maintain the appropriate blade angle, control pressure, and adjust technique throughout the treatment.
The DERM-10R Professional & Student Dermaplaning Kit provides a practical foundation for that education and continues to serve the practitioner as dermaplaning moves from classroom technique to a professional treatment service.

Dermaplaning:
Apply 5–7 drops of Nourishing Oil directly to the treatment area and blend evenly into the skin to create a smooth, protective glide for dermaplaning.
After completing the dermaplaning procedure, blend an additional 3–5 drops of Nourishing Oil into a Skin for Life moisturizer and apply to the treated area. This post-treatment application helps replenish essential lipids, restore skin comfort, support the skin barrier, and prepare the skin for the next step in the facial treatment protocol.
