Care of Lab Coats
The full-length spa lab coat is a durable poly/cotton blend coat that needs to be sterilized daily (or between clients) along with your towels, linens, headbands, etc. Wash separate from non-white items.
To sanitize properly be sure to wash in warm water and always use bleach or other EPA approved infectious disease cleaning agents suitable for a poly/cotton blend material.
Promptly remove from dryer when finished and hang appropriately. You can iron the lab coat to give it a clean, professional look which is perfect for any spa setting. Dry cleaning is not needed in taking care of this lab coat.
If bleach is needed, use a touch pen directly on the soiled spot. Otherwise use hot water and detergent to was the lab jacket. Please note read the garmet care instruction. The embroidery decoration logo will bleach and lose its color using a harsh cleaner like bleach.
Do not wash with colored items as colors may bleed or dull the crisp whiteness of this lab coat. Do not wash with other non-spa clothing. Wash with other white, spa items that came in contact with the client and yourself.
When obtaining logo work for the lab coat be sure to choose stitching guaranteed not to bleed onto the white fabric. Do not iron on the Skin for Life Logo.
How to Properly Wear
When wearing the Full-Length Spa Coat you always want to keep buttons securely fastened, sleeves at full length and collar neatly folded. Lab coats need to fit properly based upon each esthetician’s individual size.
Labcoats can be worn during all spa treatments. Clean, fresh lab coats are the perfect item to wear in order to present a professional appearance.
To protect yourself while wearing the Spa Coat wear disposable gloves that can be pulled over the edges of the sleeves to ensure no skin is exposed. Be sure all buttons are buttoned correctly. You will need to wear proper clothing underneath the Full-Length Spa Coat.
Full-length spa coats are the necessary attire when needing to protect yourself and your clients. Show your clients you are taking all necessary precautions to protect them and yourself from harm or illness. Lab coats show a clinical approach when presenting yourself to your clients.
Remember, a lab coat protects you from spills, contaminants, chemicals and is a barrier for all solutions that may have a possibility of coming in contact with the skin.
