When performing a treatment please remember the blades are sharp and must be correctly disposed of in the red sharps container. Also, there is a fill line when the container is full. Do not overfill the sharps container. Remove and dispose of the sharps container as indicated by OSHA and state laws.

What is the Blade Difference?

The #10R is referred to as our “butter blade”. It has a smooth round edge that nicely removes dead skin cells and vellus hair evenly and thoroughly without irritation. It is perfect for thin, fragile skin.

It is also great for individuals that do not have severe skin concerns such as thicker hair, or thicker skin due to sun damage. It is a beautiful blade that a skin professional may move freely while having complete control when working over skin crevices.

The reason why #10R blade removes vellus hair so well is because of the hair itself. Vellus hair is short, fine, and is barely noticeable. The #10R blade removes the vellus hair and dead skin cells easily while uncovering a smooth, flawless, and bright healthy-looking complexion.

Blades #10 & #14, Precision Planing

#10 Blade is a bit different but easily controlled due to its sharp tip. The tip provides an easier way to remove the corner areas of hair that are around the mouth, upper lip, and around the curvature of the chin. It is difficult to achieve this type of application with a rounded blade.

It also handles medium-thick hair with ease. An esthetician may work not only on the flat end of the blade but also on the curve to evenly work through thin to medium hair growth while delivering a smooth, silky skin finish.

#14 Blade is predominantly for thicker hair and skin. Skin that has become thick due to over sun exposure and therefore has a thick hard dead skin layer. This blade will cut through the dead skin cells evenly and precisely while removing thicker and coarse hair.

Again, the sharp edge is perfect for around the mouth area due to vellus or thicker hair growth.
