Dermaplaning Basic Kit
The Dermaplaning Basic Professional Kit was designed to support Dermaplaning Instructors. It gives students a good starting point. When teaching and/or instructing students it is best to start slow with a small kit for them to use on an inanimate object so they may practice technique.
It is the perfect kit to use on a mannequin head when perfecting the treatment application before transitioning to a human client. The Basic Professional Kit includes:
Not only will they learn techniques but students will also learn to incorporate dermaplaning into other treatments for treatment performance. We also provide oxygen skincare samples for them to experience a multi-faceted treatment. Skin instructors whether in a school environment or a private class environment, it benefits the student to improve their treatment knowledge by providing a “Treatment Within A Treatment Experience”.
Students also like to try and see what feels right to them before purchasing a box of 100 blades. It is important to have confident hand movement when working with dermaplaning blades. The Dermaplaning Basic Professional Kit provides a sneak peek of what to look forward to when working with various blades.
Basic Protocol for Students
- Prep the skin with a gentle cleanser. Make sure the skin is clean and dry.
- May use a toner to remove any residue from the skin. Dry skin completely.
- If you need a bit of slip, try using 5 drops of our Nourishing Oil + botanical extracts
- Begin with your favorite “Dermaplaning Blade”. Be gentle.
- Do not dermaplane over acne skin or broken skin.
- Use a magnifying glass to check your work and see any loose or fine hairs.
As a student or esthetician mastering the basics is important. The face has many curves and crevices so it is important to have a proper technique when performing with the various blades, whether #10, #10R, and/or #14. It is a focused detailed treatment, that needs total concentration.
Dermaplaning is not usually covered in a basic esthetician program leading to state licensure, which is why proper training through a formal course is crucial before you begin offering this service. Dermaplaning courses require a valid esthetician’s license.
For those that would like to learn “Dermaplaning” we may assist you with finding a licensed instructor. The instructors we know have complete knowledge and understanding of dermaplaning.

Our Skin for Life customers utilizes the benefits of Oxygen Infusion Therapy after dermaplaning treatment. It is an excellent way to brighten, increase cellular responses for a healthy, beautiful, vibrant complexion.
Dermaplaning is a very popular menu treatment. It takes minimal time to perform but gives a tremendous skin glow. You may individualize dermaplaning by either using one or more blades depending on the area. Dermaplaning gives you the ability to map out the face or body by using various blades for different exfoliation depths.
It is important to practice good universal precautions when disposing of blades, needles, and all sharp objects that come in contact with the skin or that have been used on the skin. This is why proper instruction, learning state requirements, and staying up-to-date with OSHA regulations will always keep your spa current as deemed by the CDC and other health organization standards.

Best oil in the industry. Doesn’t soak up and doesn’t clog skin. Also extremely soothing to the client with no after shave burn feeling. Great for spot acne and extra dry skin when mixing with your favorite moisturizer. Also, best price on the market.
