DERM-10R Dermaplaning Kit

The Derm-10R dermaplaning kit is a good choice for professionals and beginners alike. The 10-R blade is widely recognized for its precision and gentle performance. Making it ideal when achieving smooth and radiant skin without irritation.

Dermaplaning is a very popular treatment with clients. The results are immediate, the skin is vibrant, smooth, and it is the perfect exfoliant with minimal downtime. The idea is to remove the surface dead skin cells. Dead skin cells may develop into a thicker barrier. When removing the over accumulation of dead skin cells it provides a better environment for product penetration.

Skincare products are essential because they provide the skin with essential nutrients at a deeper skin layer. This is only possible when using various exfoliations like dermaplaning #10R blade. It provides an excellent vehicle for product penetration.

The DERM-10R Dermaplaning kit has the following supplies:

• (100) 1 box of 10R Blades
• (1) Stainless Steel #3 handle
• (1) Blade Remover (blue enclosed sharps) holds 50 blades. Must be disposed by putting it into a Red Sharps Container.
• (1) Nourishing Oil, the perfect blend of ingredients,without an oily residue. Gentle, healing, and balanced for all skin types during a dermaplaning procedure
• (1) Wristlet, bring it all together in a Skin for Life wristlet. Perfect for mobile estheticians on the go. Put everything in one place for each scheduled appointment

It is our recommendation to seek a professional class if you are a beginner. There are various techniques, and learning the right one is an essential part when wanting to add dermaplaning to a menu of services.

Most clients think it is only for removing vellus hair, and that is partly true. However, it can be an excellent surface or a slightly deeper exfoliation treatment that prepares the skin for the next treatment or product choice.

Dermaplaning Skin Treatment

Here is a simplified version of a dermaplaning treatment. A professional may incorporate so many other modalities. However, this a simplified version:

1. Cleanse skin well. In some case it is sometimes best to have clients clean their own face before you begin the assessment before treatment. Gentle Gel Cleanser is an ideal universal cleanser for all skin types.
2. Tone skin well. Make sure you select the proper skin toner for a client’s skin type and condition.
3. PRO Radiance Peel, this is highly recommended to prevent “PIH”. It reduces the activity of pigment cells. Saturate a 2 x 2 dry gauze. Begin at the forehead and work downward. Please note the aroma may be strong, so you may include a fan with the treatment. This will assist with minimizing the aroma. Maximum 3 layer application.
4. Apply between 10-15 drops of Nourishing Oil. Blend evenly over the face, neck, and/or decolletage. There should not be an oily residue, so be mindful of the amount applied.
5. May begin with the #10R dermaplaning application.
6. Once completed, use Instant Soothing Toner to remove any access leftover from the dermaplaning procedure.
7. May continue with the following OPTIONS
   1. oxygen infusion
   2. NANO infusion
   3. LED Light, or other modalities.
8. Once completed with the various options use Instant Soothing Toner as your cooldown before applying serums and mositurizers.
9. Apply a cold therapy mask. Maximum time may vary. However, it is generally 5 minutes.
10. Remove the mask and use the proper skincare finishing products (serums, moisturizers, and sunscreens).

The above dermaplaning treatment can be completed within 30 minutes or depending on the additional modalities it may be completed in an hour.

Putting the pieces together

When Fitting the #10R blade onto the #3 dermaplaning handle it can be a bit scary. I created a visual to assist you. Please take the time to review each part and how it fits into each other. When fitting the blade onto the #3 handle, remember these steps:

1. Firstly, make sure the groove of the handle is visible.
2. Secondly, make sure the blade # is on top and visible.
3. Thirdly, slide the blade without a lot of force into the groove of the handle, like a puzzle piece.

NOTE* if you are applying a lot of force then stop and review the parts so you may easily slide the blade into the groove. DO NOT Force It.

When Removing the Blade from the handle, try these steps:

1. To remove turn over the handle. Notice the number of the blade is NOT visible.
2. Slide the entire piece inside the opening of the Blue Blade Remover Sharps. Hold it firmly with your hand. Push up in the groove cut out. Hold it there.
3. Take the hand that is holding the Blue Blade Remover and make sure the four fingers are pressing up to clamp down on the handle that is inside the opening.
4. Your thumb tarsal should be on top of the Blue Blade Remover, again putting pressure to make sure the handle is secure in the groove of the opening of the Blue Blade Remover.
5. Then take the hand that is holding the handle and pull/slide the handle out while making sure the other hand in step 3 and 4 are in place and are firmly pressed down and up. Use a bit of force by sliding out the handle from the groove hole. The blade should peel/remove from the handle and remain in the Blue Blade Remover.
