Dermaplaning carbon steel blades are used in dermaplaning aesthetic procedures. Due to their properties which offer what we believe is the best combination of initial sharpness and durability.

Dermaplane blades are a unique cutting edge design. One side of the blade is a smooth razor edge. The other side is a micro serrated edge for a consistent sharp blade use.

Whether skin care professionals prefer Stainless or Carbon blades, they are both high quality and will perform effectively.

The decision regarding what type of blade should be used is a personal preference that is developed over many years of performing dermaplaning procedures. The difference between the two is the material itself.

Carbon steel is the best combination of sharpness and durability, however may stain with a solution. Stainless steel has a lateral pressure durability. When the metal composition comes in contact with a solution it is less likely to stain.

Micro-serrated edge improves depth control while providing an equal, smooth plane over the skin. Dermaplaning carbon steel #14 blade is excellent for smaller areas as well as the entire face. When using dermaplaning oil it is essential to know the difference between stainless steel and carbon steel. Each are high quality blades but may perform differently.

The typical market Stainless steel is a razor sharp edge. While the initial blade is sharp, this edge may deteriorate faster. Using stainless steel over a dermaplaning oil is an excellent application. Just be aware of the blade’s performance throughout a dermaplaning skin treatment. It may deteriorate quickly.

Whereas our Stainless steel and Carbon steel blades have a combination of a razor edge and a micro-serrated edge that stays consistently sharp with every application. Using this type of blade over dermaplaning oil provides a longer blade use throughout the skin treatment.

It is common to use more than one blade during a dermaplaning skin treatment. #14 blade is great for larger areas or in a target skin region. This is the perfect blade for a thicker or heavier hair.

#10R blade is known for being a “butter blade”. Perfect for the delicate cheek area, neck and around the mouth. The skin is smooth, velvety and bright. This blade has a light touch when skin professionals perform a dermaplaning skin procedure. Clients with thin skin, light vellus hair or with mild stratum corneum build up will benefit with a renewed, refreshed and vibrant skin complexion.

#10 blade will make your life easier. Skin care professionals find the #10 blade assists them with corners, crevices or grooves on the skin. Perfect for hard to treat areas.

When incorporating #14 blade into your skin treatment remember this blade is excellent for a thicker stratum corneum or a heavier hair composition. #14 blade is great for the body such as arms or chest areas. As skin becomes more affected by sun and the damaging rays the stratum corneum is less likely to turnover as quickly for a renewed skin appearance.

Using the #14 blade will increase cell turnover while creating epidermal stimulation for a renewed and brighter skin appearance.
